For the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the San Miniato, Visconti created a “special edition” pen of only 155 pieces that incorporates all these symbols. The body of the pen has an octagonal design, while the dimensions of the pen are determined according to the golden ratio. The gold-plated silver grip has the same ribbed profile as the columns that adorn the facade. The sun and the octagon are engraved on the end cap and cap respectively. The clip is finally based on the handles of the doors of the church. The pen is released in two versions. One in white marble and another in green marble, in reference to the two types of marble used in the facade. The pen comes in an olive wood box that slides open. Inside is a wooden pen stand with sketches of the most important symbols and the basilica itself.
The fountain pen uses the power filler mechanism and has a 18kt nib. This pen is limited to only 155 pieces worldwide.
