The TWSBI Eco (short for economical) White is the least expensive fountain pens that uses the piston filling mechanism. The resin TWSBI Eco fountain pen has clear barrel that shows the mechanism very well. The clear body gives the TWSBI also a different look witht he ink it is filled with. The faceted cap gives the TWSBI Eco a powerful appearence. The TWSBI logo finish the top of the cap. This edition of the TWSBI Eco has rose gold plated details.
The TWSBI Eco Fountain pen has a polished stainless steel nib engraved with the TWSBI logo, available in several sizes.
TWSBI fountain pens can be entirely disassembled for the purposes of cleaning and servicing. Instructions and necessary tools are supplied with each TWSBI fountain pen. Please note that the disassembly feature is only there for experienced users and is not necessary for normal use. Disassembly is at your own risk!
With a history of more than 40 years of manufacturing, including producing high-end pens for other brands, Ta Shin Precision decided to start selling under their own brand, TWSBI. The name TWSBI is made up from TWS and BI. ‘TWS’ is the reversed initials of the phrase ‘San Wen Tong’, translated Hall of Three Cultures, and ‘BI’ literally means writing instrument.

For me – this pen has been a great writer out of the box. And for its price – an everyday carry pen you cannot go wrong with.

I was looking for a pen with a clear view of the remaining ink. Originally I was looking for the TWSBI Eco White with clear barrel and since the shop informed me they only had this type with B nib (only 1 left in stock), I wanted a M nib. There was only 1 left in stock also, Rose Gold with clear barrel. So I ordered this one too. I did not regret my purchase since it is such a smooth write, with high capacity ink and the pen looks very classy. I’m impressed and very happy with it. This will be one of my go to pens for daily writing.

My first experience with a TWSBI Fountain Pen. I originally ordered it with an EF Nib but got a B instead since it was out of Stock.
This little inconvenience aside, the TWSBI Eco RGT looks amazing and feels the same way while writing.
The B Nib is just slightly broader then some M Nibs from other Brands like Pelican or Waterman.
It comes with a little Bottle of Silicon Grease for the Pistons Head, Instructions and a Tool to remove the Piston, allowing maintenance and cleaning of the Body.
The Nib and Nib feed are also easily removable but stay firmly in place.
The Ink flow is excellent, having no trouble keeping up with fast writing or even drawing. Also a nice Detail is the transparent Body, adding another Element of Color to the Look and letting you see how much Ink is inside.
If you are looking for an affordable and yet elegant looking Fountain Pen, the TWSBI Eco RGT is a very good Option.

I have to start this review by informing you that I own a large collection of fountain pens, from simple Pilots to exclusive numbered ones. This TWSBI was purchased as a work horse, one to throw in my bag so to speak. But wow, how it has surprised me! It quickly has become my favourite pen, the one I always grab, and write all day with. If you had any doubts, please do yourself a favour, and just go for it. This pen is amazing! I ordered the EF and find it writes as a wet Sailor MF. Enjoy writing with this lovely TWSBI!
