The Platinum Curidas offers all the convenience of a click ballpoint pen but with the smooth writing experience of a fountain pen! In the rapidly changing world around us today, speed is becoming more important in business. With the new Platinum Curidas retractable fountain pen, there is a great writing tool available to use immediately without the need of removing a cap. The nib retracts and when closed, a high sealed nib pocket made of soft material enhances airtightness. The well-designed clip is not obstructive to the hand, and can also be removed. The transparent resin also allows to see the inner mechanism of the pen.
The Platinum Curidas fountain pen has a stainless steel nib and uses the Platinum ink cartridges, but with the special Ink Cartridge Adapter it is also possible to use the Standard International ink cartridges.
In 1919, Shunichi Nakata, started his fountain pen business that would later be known as “Platinum Fountain Pen Co.”. The Japanese brand is closely related to the legendary Nakaya fountain pen brand, where some of the finest fountain pens in the world are created. This expertise also goes into Platinum’s own line of fine writing instruments.

This is a very fine pen with a sophisticated rectractable system that makes it easy to use, without a drying nib. As easy to use as a ball pen. It takes ink cartridges as well as a converter (a special one from Platinum). The build quality is very good, it won’t break easily.

The color of this pen is nice and you get a bit of a demonstrator feel to it. The retractable end feels a bit long but I didn’t notice it anymore after a few writing sessions. The nib worked well right out of the box and I didn’t need to put any pressure while writing (EF nib). It takes a bit of patience to refill the converter (you have to purchase that separately) but it wasn’t difficult at all and it was quite fun. I highly recommend this pen for quick note taking and travelling!

De pen schrijft prettig/goed niet al te nat, nib droogt snel uit indien de pen wordt gedragen zoals bedoeld is
