A great pen, really nice color yellow. Gives a bit of a retro vibe. It’s not the lightest pen because it has a metal barrel but it has a very good balance. Great ink flow too but I did use the Tune and Smooth option so maybe that helped. I’m very happy with this pen and would certainly recommend it!

An excellent every day use pen. the london taxi yellow colour is so vintage and glamorous. See the videos to fully fill the Con 40 convertor. Dont loose the metal sleeve provided to hold the cartridges. Grip – excellent, handling- super excellent and writing on any paper is marvellous. A must buy

I always had a strange feeling about acquiring a Pilot Capless/Vanishing Point for a number of reasons. First of all, the position of the clip was strikiing me as a bit odd. In my biased view it would surely hamper my grip on the fountain pen and consequently jeopardise my handwriting. Furthermore, being forced to use a convertor with a limited capacity of ink and/or being limited to custom Pilot cartridges was in my view nothing to look forward to. But having read so many reviews with positive feedback on this pen convinced me to give it a go.
So I ordered a yellow CT capless medium nib from Appelboom on Fountain Pen day 2022. When the pen had arrived, I immediately gave it a try. All of my worries disappeared on the spot, this pen is simply a dream to write with. The smoothness of the nib is unrivaled, the material used for the body of the pen suggests top quality. Writing with this pen only makes you wonder what took you so long to order it.

In a word, fantastic. I liked the yellow color on this vanishing point. It adds some bright color to my collection. The mechanism for this pen works flawlessly. The design is outstanding. The fine 18K gold nib lays down a beautiful smooth ink line. I thought the clip might bother my writing, but that is not the case. It doesn’t bother me at all. The pen writes well out of the box, perhaps because of Appelboom’s expert nib tuning, and it is a comfortable experience. This is a good price for an 18K gold nib.
