The Harry Potter: Hogwarts L.E. fountain pen features a custom 18K gold nib, an ebonite feed and Montegrappa’s magical piston filling mechanism.
The sterling silver edition comprises 142 fountain pens and rollerballs respectively – a reference to the number of staircases that can be found inside Hogwarts castle. The 18K gold editions consists of seven fountain pens and four rollerballs, representing the school’s seven floors and four student houses.
• All four Hogwarts houses are represented on the cap and barrel in low-relief engraving and guilloche, illuminated with vivid enamel matching each house.
• The banners and mottos of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin are engraved in the blind cap.
• A pen of great power must be treated with reverence. A red cabochon on the crown channels the alchemy and immortality of the Philosopher’s (or Sorcerer’s) Stone.
• Lost wax casting reproduces the Hogwarts coat of arms on each face of the barrel. The famous crest is also the centerpiece of the deluxe, solid wood display case.

Italy’s first pen producer, Montegrappa, began manufacturing pens in 1912 in its factory in Bassano del Grappa in Italy. Utilizing natural celluloid and precious metals,Montegrappa combines traditional methods such as die-casting with more recent innovations as low-relief engraving to form their precious art objects.
