The Extra 1930 collection by Montegrappa, inspired by a model from the Thirties, was created to meet the taste for those who love precious objects, with traditional lines and original selection of colours and designs. Respecting the values of Montegrappa, the Extra 1930 combines the innovation of its state-of-the-art technical solutions with the tradition of its aesthetic choices. Setting off the precious metal detailing, the colours of the precious celluloid selected for the Extra 1930 were inspired by models from the Montegrappa Museum. Extra 1930 is presented in an elegant box of ash wood which, for the fountain pen, includes a Montegrappa ink bottle.
The fountain pen has an 18 kt gold nib and uses the piston filling system.
Italy’s first pen producer, Montegrappa, began manufacturing pens in 1912 in its factory in Bassano del Grappa in Italy. Utilizing natural celluloid and precious metals,Montegrappa combines traditional methods such as die-casting with more recent innovations as low-relief engraving to form their precious art objects. Whether Montegrappa use colors reminiscent of the master painters or ornamentation suggestive of Baroque palaces, the Italian heritage and romance is infused into each product.
