The Montblanc Meisterstück Le Grand is slimmer and slightly smaller than the Meisterstück 149 fountain pen. Both the barrel and cap are made of black precious resin inlaid with the Montblanc emblem with rose gold-plated clip and rings. Each Meisterstück has a unique serial number.

First, this pen is beautiful.: It is Flawless, and the red gold on this size pen lends it a special caché. As an owner of the fountain pen version of this pen, the 146, I was surprised by the relative heft of this rollerball. It feels quite solid and very well-balanced. Love it! It arrived with the Medium Point refill, and writes exceptionally smoothly with a full line using only a minimal touch, even less than my fountain pens.
Just as important is the Dealer, Appelboom. Shipping was almost immediate, the pen arrived much more quickly than I had imagined it could, and it had been inspected, leaving not one fingerprint, smudge or speck of lint.
