Leonardo inks are generally medium-dry, saturated and vibrant. This “Smeraldo” (Emerald Green) is a relatively recent addition to Leonardo’s ink range. Leonardo has a different Turquoise ink. This is EMERALD, and it is a lovely shade of green. It has less blue and more yellow than Turqoise. Compared to Leonardo’s green, it has more yellow and is “brighter.” So far, I have loaded it in just one pen, and it shades just a bit. I don’t see any sheen.
If I have any criticism, it is that I wish it were a bit drier to provide sharper hairlines for calligraphy.
