This edition, like all Lamy Al-stars is a very decent pen. Well designed and constructed, and light and sturdy (though not scratch resistant). The nibs usually are quite nice (though I have some that are a bit scratchy) and the section is something you like or not. What stands out on this pen is of course the colour. As another reviewer already stated is’s a soft gold with a hint of pink (more so than in the pictures. The difference is comparable with the pictures and actual pen of the bronze Al-star). It’s a bit more muted than I would, like something I also felt was the case with the “vibrant” pink. I guess you can’t have everything.
The pen comes recommended though I suggest doing some extra research as to the colour if that’s the reason for buying the pen.

This not a new design, so well known for us, the Lamy Al-Star Collectors. The difference is only in the color. Not sure how to describe this, but it is a bit gold, bit pink. It look nice, it is a good addition to my almost complete collection of Al-Stars.

The Al-Star has an excellent reputation; it’s a great daily user because of its ruggedness and reliability, as well as its good looks. And if you fancy a different nib, they are readily available and easy to change.
This is a ‘quieter’ colour compared to some previous special editions and may not be to everyone’s taste, but I think it’s an attractive addition to my collection.
Like many of its predecessors, it may even appreciate in value, but if it doesn’t, I still have a great pen.
