    Description

The smooth deep-drawn aluminium body components of the Lamy Aion pen are the first of their kind and give the series a unique, harmonious appearance. Brushed and blasted surfaces are refined with a brilliant silk-matt anodic coating finish, creating formal tension. The sturdy high gloss polished clip perfectly rounds off the overall design. The Lamy fountain pen is originally designed by Jasper Morrison.

The Lamy Aion fountain pen has a stainless-steel nib (with optional 14kt gold nib) and it uses a cartridge/converter (Lamy Z27 converter) filling mechanism.

Lamy is an independent family-owned enterprise which was established in 1930 by, former Parker employee, C. Josef Lamy in Heidelberg. The Lamy brand has existed since 1952 and proved its innovative prowess in the very first year with the completely novel Lamy 27 fountain pen series. And in 1966 the distinctive style of Lamy Design was born with the Lamy 2000.

Solid excellent everyday writer fountain pen
Lamy nibs are uniform , so if you like the writing experience on one nib , the difference is the pen ?!

      Very solid construction
      Hefty feel to it
Would recommend as an everyday carrier pen, a step up from the safari / Lx series

Although I already own a black Lamy Aion, I also bought the Aion in this beautiful green. I love this pen because it fits well in the hand, has a good weight and it stems from the Bauhaus style: simple and functional. The pen exudes quality. For me the writing performance is the most important. With the Lamy Aion you won’t get into trouble with this. The nib feels stiff with little line variation, but the inkflow is spot-on! I never encountered a problem with false starts or skipps. A downside of the Aion is that the cap is not really tight when the pen is closed. I was somewhat unlucky in the sense that the pen came with a faulty clip. I contacted Appelboom and was helped very professionally and quickly. We know that something can always go wrong with an online order, but Appelboom has given me confidence in this, so this never became a problem for me. Top!
This pen is definitely a good purchase even for the novice fountain pen enthusiast. And this green really looks stunning!

Great minimalist design. Suitable for large hands. Not heavy.

I really like this pen, To an extent I received it as a loan for review and I had to buy it for my own collection and to use it regularly.
The design is clearly a Lamy design, although different enough from other Lamy pens. I really enjoy it and it is a fairly large pen.
      I really love it.

This is a very nice pen, with a beautiful design and – most of all – a unique and beautiful colour. I also like that it has a nib compatible with the nib on a Safari but with a slightly different design. I only don’t give it 5 stars on quality because the cap could close in a way that it wouldn’t rotate while the pen is capped.

At the end: a nice beautiful pen.
