The Jacques Herbin Small Leather Pen Pouch is made of full grain calfskin. It has been designed and controlled with the utmost care. Leather is a noble and living material, which can change over time and gain a beautiful finish. Imperfections or slight variations of colour can occur. This is a fine characteristic, indicating the authenticity of the leather, and should not be considered a defect. For complete care, we recommend cleaning using a soft, damp cloth.
The pen pouch offers space for two writing instruments and has two slots for credit cards, business cards, or a package of ink cartridges.
Established in Paris in 1670 —when King Louis XIV was 32 years old— the Maison Herbin initially specialised in the sealing wax, fine stationery and ink trade, and imported shellac from India.
In 1798 the Maison changed tack and put its faith in the future: whilst continuing to produce wax and engage in the paper and color (pigments) trade, it launched production of its own writing ink on the initiative of Jacques Herbin, member of the fourth generation.
