Description

The Graf von Faber Castell ink is perfectly for smooth writing. The ink is available in an attractive ink bottle, which holds 75ml of high quality ink, with the finely fluted surface: unmistakable style of Graf von Faber-Castell. The Graf von Faber-Castell ink is available in 8 beautiful colors which are inspired by nature, 6 document proof colors and 2 light fast colors.

The document proof colors (black, blue, green and grey) are high quality inks that are not visible on the back of regular paper, non-correctable, not removable without traces, UV–resistant, fast drying on regular paper, water resistant, resistant to certain chemicals and solvent also. The 2 light fast colors (red and brown) are high quality inks which describes the color consistency after long exposure to light.

In 1761, Kaspar Faber started to produce pencils in Stein, near Nuremberg. When the fourth generation,Baron Lothar von Faber, took over the company in 1839 he turned the pencil into a true quality product and the world’s first branded writing instrument. Over the centuries, he and his descendants created remarkable products. The result is the Graf von Faber-Castell Collection, a range of extraordinary writing instruments and accessories. They embody “Luxury in Simplicity” by combining selected materials, functionality and superb aesthetics.

The ink is brilliant. Not too wet, not too dry. The bottle looks amazing too. Nothing to say apart from recommending the purchase!

The carbon black variant I have always used is a very deep black, and is a good balance of wet and dry. It does not bleed through on cheaper papers like for example Mont Blanc permanent black does. It is slightly wetter, however, than Lamy black.

I got the Moss Green, which is a very nice dark green.
Well behaved ink, no feathering nor bleeding with a stub nib on Clairefontained paper.
It comes in a very nice glass bottle, which comes in a nice carton box (protection from natural light). The bottle has a wide neck, so most pens should fit.
A bit pricey for me but very nice overall.

This Olive Green ink is very good in its behaviour. No bleedthrough, makes the nib seem nice and smooth. A little expensive but a good amount of ink, beautiful colour and even a beautiful bottle.

You don’t buy a bottle of ink for the bottle, don’t you? For this particular bottle, well, you could. It looks awesome, it is bold and heavy, impressive.

Hazelnut brown. I love warm browns, and I love that very brown. It is very well behaved, easy to clean, great shading with a wet broad nib. Not cheap tho.

Fantastic looking presentation- Both the box and especially the bottle. Part of the allure of the purchasing ink is the overall presentation and Faber-Castell is second to none. As of the ink it is very smooth. I inked up a sailor 1911 (14K nib fine) and a Pilot Metro (nib fine) and both pens wrote effortlessly. The ink behaved flawlessly with both pens. The clean up was very easy. This ink is a bit pricey but very worth every drop. Plus you get to keep a exquisite bottle for display. Highly Recommend!!!!
