Galen Leather is a Turkish based company which was founded in 2012. The products are designed and produced in Istanbul and add a touch of luxury and provide the guarantee of a long lasting accomplice which can be trust to last the test of time while on the road. The company was founded by Zeynep and Yunus and started as a humble hobby, making small leather goods. Now, they create multiple items of all kind of materials. But the leather goods are still their main focus. The name ‘’Galen’’ comes of the favourite precious stone and is also a referred name of the famous philisopher, Claudius Galenus, who was born in Pergamon (present day Bergama, Turkey – the famous city of leather).

As the title says, this is probably one of the best storage cases out there in the market, considering the price and the quality. I was slightly surprised when I discovered I’d acquired (in a fairly short time) enough fountain pens to fill a 10 slot pen pouch. I chose this one because of Galen Leather’s deservedly good reputation and also because I wanted a fairly neutral colour to set the pens against. All I can say is, it was a perfect choice. Leather and zip are excellent quality and the elastic pen slots are resilient enough to hold both slim pens (GvFC Guilloche) and much larger ones (Leonardo Momento Zero Grande, Opus 88). Best of all, if two larger pens are slotted next to each other they don’t touch, although it’s probably good practice to alternate larger and slimmer pens if possible. The cloth covers for each half also help to ensure the pens are as well protected as possible.
This was an excellent buy and comes highly recommended.
