Similar dimension to the Mont Blanc Le Grand, but with a much more angular design. Spring-loaded clip isn’t attractive but is trying to be functional, except that nobody in their right mind is clipping a pen this heavy to their pocket. The Marrakesh brown colour sets off the gold colours perfectly and stand out in a refined way.
Cap closing smooth, snug and with a satisfying, heavy click. It’s the BMW car door of rollerball caps…
Medium black refill gives generous ink flow and is relatively broad.
Could write an enormous amount at one time due to the weight, but it’s a good enough feel that I keep coming back to it. It’s a solid competitor in the upper Parker Sonnet range, and can make the less ornate Sonnets look inadequate.
