Pelikan honours the fascinating gem stone Apatite by creating a new harmonic colour in the Edelstein line. The blue-turquoise shade of colour leads to a wonderful association of the natural element of water. This ink colour lets all thoughts flow, written as words on the paper.

The Edelstein Ink of the Year Apatite will only be produced in 2022, and will be available as of March 2022.

A blueish turquoise ink which ink copes well with all types of paper. It is relatively vibrant and dries quickly. It comes with a very nice ink bottle.

This color is so pretty. It’s not too bright or too light. I use it in my Kaweco in Iguana Blue and love the two paired together.
The bottle is a nice shape so I don’t have to worry about it tipping over while filling my pen. Very sturdy. My first Edelstein ink but not my last.

All of Pelikan's Edelstein inks have great color.
I bought Golden Beryl and Apatite.
Both of them are hard to find in Japan, so I was very lucky.
I use this apatite in kaweco collection iguanablue.

The color is very soft on the eyes. A very unique and pleasant color to look at. Writes very smoothly with zero feathering. And I write on a basic composition book using a Twsbi 580.

I’ve been a fan of turquoise as long as I can remember and this beautiful ink is a perfect match for my taste. My first Pelikan Edelstein ink, it’s super smooth to write with and has lovely shading in a broad, wet nib.
