Montegrappa introduces the exhilarating F1® Speed: the performance, glamour and extreme velocity of the FIA Formula One World Championship™ at your fingertips. The Speed is a turbocharged study in writing technology, developed by the global pacesetters in pen design.

The F1® Speed by Montegrappa transfers Formula 1® technology and flair to the science of writing – fusing high-technology materials and engineering in a radical design package to set pulses racing. A computer-engineered, flared barrel combines aerodynamics and ergonomics to deliver captivating optics and a dynamic writing performance.

The carbon-fibre grip section provides unrivalled strength and stability, transitioning smoothly to the barrel via a custom designed, graduated ‘Monza’ step. The carbon composite, black ruthenium and high-gloss lacquer echo the performance and glamour of motorsport’s greatest spectacle.

The 18 kt gold nib is available in multiple sizes: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Double Broad, Stub 1.1.

The pen uses a cartridge/converter filling system.

This limited edition series consists of 372 pieces, referring to the top speed ever recorded in an FIA World Championship™ race: 372.6 km/h, by Juan Pablo Montoya at Monza in 2005.

Montegrappa’s F1® Speed is officially sanctioned by the world’s most prestigious motorsport championship, with a pocket-clip bearing the official F1® logo in safety-red enamel.

Italy's first pen producer, Montegrappa, began manufacturing pens in 1912 in its factory in Bassano del Grappa in Italy. Utilizing natural celluloid and precious metals,Montegrappa combines traditional methods such as die-casting with more recent innovations as low-relief engraving to form their precious art objects. Whether Montegrappa use colors reminiscent of the master painters or ornamentation suggestive of Baroque palaces, the Italian heritage and romance is infused into each product.
