The Montblanc Writers Edition 2020 is dedicated to Victor Hugo(1802-1885). Victor Marie Hugo was a French writer, poet, essayist and statesman and is considered one of the most important and influential French Romantic authors of the 19th century. He has written novels, poems, plays, essays and political speeches, and also left an extensive exchange of letters.Hugo's first major novel, Notre-Dame de Paris (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), was published in 1831. The work was so successful that it was soon translated into several European languages. The cap is decorated with gothic arches in relief, and the end of the clip, which is shaped like the clapper of a bell, recalls the bell ringer Quasimodo and the bells of Notre-Dame.
